In the evolving landscape of scientific inquiry, the application of research ethics is not merely a procedural formality but a foundational pillar of academic integrity. This editorial aims to highlight the importance of ethical conduct in research and its transparent articulation within scientific publications. It begins by introducing the concept of research ethics and its relevance to scholarly communication, followed by an exploration of its core dimensions; what research ethics entails, when and where it must be applied, why it is indispensable, and how it should be implemented and reported. The discussion emphasizes the need for ethical literacy among researchers, the institutional responsibilities in safeguarding ethical standards, and the editorial obligations of journals in verifying ethical compliance. The article concludes by reaffirming that ethical transparency is essential not only for protecting research participants but also for sustaining public trust, academic credibility, and the long-term impact of scientific work.
